A Study of the Relationship between Structural Elements of Self-Determination Behavior and Character Strengths of Positive Psychology

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the components of self-determination behavior and characteristicsof character strengths of positive psychology, and to explore the relationship between the components ofself-determination behavior and the variables of character strength of positive psychology. For this purpose,from 2006 to the present, researcher collected the literature on the components of self-determinationbehavior and character strengths of positive psychology, and analyzed based on the research design,characteristics of the subject, intervention strategy, research results, the components of self-determinationbehavior, and character strengths. As a result of the analysis, positive psychological character strengthswhich are related to the components of self-determination behavior were found by self-regulation, socialintelligence, creativity, and explored the components of self-determination behavior. Based on these results,researcher discussed the relationship between the components of self-determination behavior andcharacteristics of character strengths of positive psychology
